A new poppy field commission with a special request from the collector...a little path. This painting was created from a blank canvas like most of my work. The background is blended together right onto the canvas which make it very unique. Then the landscape comes to life using my painting knife coming from the mountain to the field and the creation of the path. The tree is bringing shadows to the foreground which bring the viewer into the scene. The poppies are just the first step into the finishing stage. I will post the finishing work in a few days.
